Rhonda Wilks
I have been blessed with a beautiful family, including a husband, a daughter, a son, their spouses, and 5 wonderful grandchildren. My husband and I have been married for 36 years and own Sierra Satellite & Security. We both have very busy lives, but when time permits I go upstairs to my studio (Art Cave) and create.
Personal Information:
My first love is pencil portraits and I have been drawing loved ones for myself and others in pencil since the age of 11. I also now like creating landscapes, animals, and abstracts in a variety of mediums, including pastels, oils and watercolors. I enjoy the addition of color these mediums can add to my work.
When I have the opportunity to paint during our church worship service once a month, it gives me great joy to use the gift that God gave me in this way. I pray my work speaks to the hearts of those who come to worship our Lord.
You may have seen some of my work on the covers of the TX Star phone book. My paintings have been featured on their cover for the last five years. In this series, I created paintings of horses, wind turbines, sunsets, pump jacks, and last but not least, my son-in-law and grandson walking down a fall path together.
